The EPB Elevated Post Base from Simpson Strong-Tie is specifically designed for 4×4 posts, offering reliable stability and support in a variety of structural applications. With its added standoff adjustability, it ensures that the code-required 1 inch of standoff is met when properly installed, and it can accommodate up to 2.5 inches above the concrete surface if desired. Finished with a protective gray paint, this elevated post base is built for longevity, although it is not recommended for non top-supported setups like unbraced carports or fences.
Description
Post and column bases secure the bottom of posts or columns to concrete and are perfect for decks or patio covers. Models are available for attaching to existing hardened concrete, wet concrete, as well as wood. The cast-in-place EPB series provides a secure connection to the concrete and the code-required 1 in. standoff to help prevent rot at the post end.
