The MASAP™ 16-Gauge Galvanized Mudsill Anchor from Simpson Strong-Tie is engineered to enhance the efficiency and reliability of panelized form installations. Constructed from robust 16-gauge steel and coated with G90 galvanization, this anchor offers excellent corrosion resistance, ensuring durability in various environments. Its innovative flat design allows for simple attachment to concrete forms, eliminating the need for time-consuming drilling and alignment of holes, while also reducing the risk of retrofitting due to misplaced anchor bolts. This design feature also prevents interference with the placement of studs, further streamlining the installation process.
Description
Mudsill anchors have always been a time-saving alternative to anchor bolts, and the MASA anchor provides even greater load-carrying capacity alternative for 5/8-in. and 1/2-in. mudsill anchor bolts on 2x, double-2x and 3x mudsills. It also eliminates the need for 3-in. square plate washers for seismic design and, in some cases, has load capacities that meet or exceed the parallel and perpendicular to plate shear capacity of other cast-in-place anchors. Two versions of the MASA are available — the standard MASA for installation on standard forms and the MASAP for panelized forms.
