Simpson Strong-Tie MASOPZ-R25 Mudsill Anchor for Panel Forms 25 pk (1/each)

$63.42

This innovative mudsill anchor from Simpson Strong-Tie combines robust engineering with practical design to enhance the installation process for panelized forms. Crafted from 16-gauge steel and featuring ZMAX galvanization, it provides superior corrosion resistance, making it ideal for use with treated wood in exterior applications. The patent-pending design includes strategically placed nail holes and bend-line locations, which allow for compatibility with both flush and overhanging sheathing edges at the foundation. With the added benefit of easy attachment to concrete forms, this anchor not only streamlines installation but also significantly reduces labor costs by eliminating the need for drilling and aligning anchor bolt holes. Raised embossments around the nail holes further promote efficient and fast nail installation using a power framing nailer, ensuring a secure and reliable foundation setup.

Description

The Simpson Strong-Tie® MASOPZ™ mudsill anchor is an ideal anchor for factory-built, sheathed wall panels that are anchored to concrete foundations utilizing panel forms. The advantages of the MASOPZ are similar to those of the popular Simpson Strong-Tie MASAP™ connector, except that with the MASOPZ there’s no need for additional field-installed blocking to complete the installation for sheathed walls. After the MASOPZ is installed and the concrete is cured, sheathed wall panels are craned into place without the hassle of trying to align sill plate bolt holes with cast-in-place anchor bolts. In addition, the MASOPZ saves labor over post-installed anchors by eliminating the need for a separate crew to drill and set anchors. The MASOPZ comes standard with ZMAX coating, is designed to work with panel forms, and is code listed by ICC-ES under the IBC and IRC.
